What are your products made out of?
At Gaia Baby Goods, we use 100% GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certified organic cotton. This is the safest material for your little one's delicate skin with no harmful chemicals, and the safest for our planet with no pollution to our air, water, and soil while still maintaining maximum comfort and breathability. Why don't you sell bamboo clothing?
We'll admit, viscose and/or rayon blends from bamboo sure are soft. But the bottom line is, they're not safe for your baby or for our planet. The process of turning the raw material of bamboo into the soft buttery fabric of viscose/rayon used in clothing requires an intensive chemical process which pollutes our air, water, and soil. Not to mention, those chemicals are then sitting on and being absorbed into your baby's delicate skin. We will always use the safest materials for your baby and for our planet. That's our priority.
Where are your products manufactured?
Our items are designed in New England, USA and sustainably and ethically crafted in India or China unless otherwise noted in the description. All graphic tees and pullovers are hand pressed at our small shop in New Hampshire, USA. We only partner with socially, economically, and environmentally responsible manufactures to ensure employees have safe working conditions, sustainable livelihoods, environmental protection, and community development funds.
How does your sizing run?
Our garments run on the larger size with a little extra length to grow with your child. Please reference our sizing guide before placing an order to ensure proper fit. Since our fabric is 100% organic cotton, garments may shrink in the wash if not cared for properly. If you are between sizes, we recommend sizing up. Please reach out to us if you have any questions on size or need specific measurements.
Do you use any flame retardants or other chemicals?
Absolutely not! Our top priority is the safety of your baby, and our planet. Our products are tested and certified free of harmful chemicals in accordance with OEKO-TEX guidelines. Learn more about our strict guidelines here.
How should I care for my Gaia Baby Goods?
Wash in cold water on gentle cycle with like colors. To keep your garment nontoxic, and to help protect our environment, we recommend using a natural free and clear laundry detergent. Dry on low heat or hang dry. We recommend using wool dryer balls as a nontoxic, ecofriendly alternative to dryer sheets.
Do you sell adult clothing?
At this time, we do not. However, due to an overwhelming amount of requests, a line of adult organic pullovers will be coming soon so that you can match your mini! Subscribe to our email list and follow us @gaiababygoods to stay up to date on future launches!
When can I expect my order?
We work hard to get your orders out as soon as possible, but in some cases, processing can take up to 3 business days (or longer during sales or holidays). Depending on your shipping method, your package should be delivered in about a week. As a result of the ongoing COVID-19 emergency, certain packages may take longer than usual to arrive. Please see our full Shipping Policy for more information.
Can I cancel or modify my order?
We are a small shop that works very hard to get your orders out as soon as possible. We cannot guarantee modifications or cancellations. If you need to modify or cancel an order, please contact us within 24 hours of your order and we will do our best to accommodate your needs. Please reference our returns and exchanges page if you need additional help.
How do I initiate a return or exchange?
Please email email@example.com to initiate a return within 14 days of receiving your product for a refund via your original payment method, or within 30 days of receiving your product for store credit. For more information, please reference our returns and exchanges guide.
What if my items are damaged or defective?
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item. Damaged and/or defective product must be reported within 10 days of receipt to be eligible for replacement. Please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with your order number and detailed photos of the defect so that we can evaluate the issue and make things right as soon as possible.
Where is my order?
Order tracking information will be available in your shipment confirmation email. Please allow up to 48 hours for tracking information to be updated. If your order says delivered, but you have not received your package, please reach out to your local USPS for more information.
Help - My order is a gift!
We never include pricing on packing slips. The only thing your recipient will see is their shipping address, your billing address, and a list of items included in the package. If you would like to add a gift message, please email your note to email@example.com with your order number.
